FavTrip is a Missouri-based gas station and convenience store chain founded in 2005 by Babir Sultan. With four locations, the business is known for its commitment to excellent customer service and creating a superior shopping experience.

Before implementing Modisoft, the FavTrip team faced fragmented data and manual inefficiencies.  

Tracking sales, managing inventory, understanding category-level performance, and handling vendor relations were all time-consuming and prone to human error. Without a real-time, unified view of store-level versus back-office operations, the business struggled to scale confidently. 

Managing the employees for FavTrip was also a challenge. Sultan stated that aligning payroll with actual foot traffic or revenue trends was more like guesswork. Additionally, training new team members without a central, intuitive system meant longer onboarding times and inconsistent operations.

FavTrip chose to implement Modisoft Insights to unify and streamline their data across all locations. 

With Modisoft’s powerful analytics dashboard, the team gained access to real-time sales and inventory metrics, enabling faster and more confident decision-making—especially during periods of competitive pricing and market fluctuations. 

Leveraging the insights platform, FavTrip improved labor and scheduling efficiency by utilizing the Employee Management System. By linking shifts to sales trends, FavTrip successfully reduced unnecessary labor costs, while still meeting customer demand. 

The vendor reconciliation and invoice scanning features within Insights gave FavTrip tighter control over margins and shrink, while daily cash reconciliation tools helped eliminate over/short issues. 

FavTrip also started using Modisoft’s Cartzie loyalty program, which allows FavTrip to tailor rewards that match their business needs and increase customer retention.

Inventory shrinkage has decreased by 30% thanks to tighter control and improved vendor tracking. Labor costs dropped by 18% using sales-linked scheduling tools. In addition, FavTrip’s text club loyalty program saw a 30-fold increase in signups. 

Modisoft has also helped FavTrip power new initiatives. When launching Caribou Coffee in-store, data from Modisoft validated its success and supported expansion.
